4. I struggle with consistency

I definitely do thrive when I have a routine, but for the past few years I haven’t been able stay consistent with any one routine. Its easy to blame it on the going back and forth between Singapore and Tokyo, or the various trips, but I think it comes down to me. Maybe I’m just not disciplined enough?

I remember feeling amazing when I stayed put in Singapore for 5 weeks straight and made protein kale smoothies and ran 5-10km almost every morning. But as soon as that routine got disrupted by travel plans, I couldn’t get back into it again. This has happened repeatedly with various “routines” I tried to establish in my life. There was the daily morning lymphatic drainage routine, which technically I could do from any where, even while traveling, but that didn’t stick either.

Self care aside, as I’m embarking on this entrepreneurial journey, I’m finding it very difficult to establish a daily routine. Especially since the work is unstructured. This makes me think I need a routine more than ever, to be consistent in the activities I do.

I think an ideal daily schedule could look like this:
7AM – wake up + coffee
7:30 AM – workout – run or go for a walk + weights
9 AM – Shower/ eat something
9:30 AM – start work – answer emails, then do focused work
12 PM – Lunch
1 PM – continue focused work
4 PM – break and do something active?
5 PM – Work some more….
7 PM – make a little video

Update: Since writing this post 5 days ago, it has kind of worked? for now….
