My Personal Journey
After 16 years in the corporate grind, I’m re-learning who I am without my career as my identity and measure of self-worth. Still a productivity addict, now channeling that energy into slightly unhinged to-do lists of things random projects to tackle, new skills to learn, and also what to do next professionally. I will be tracking my experiments, detours, the inevitable meltdowns, and hopefully a few wins and bits of wisdom along the way.
Who am I?
I created The Unemployed Diaries to share my journey as a recovering productivity addict, navigating the uncertainty of unemployment.
I’m a Taiwanese immigrant kid who grew up in the snowy depths of Edmonton, Alberta (aka Oil Country!). My career took me around the world — from China to London to Singapore — and now I’ve landed in Tokyo, figuring out what comes next.
